Dr. Fraley and colleagues developed a machine learning algorithm that shows a proof of principle for reliably and automatically classifying high resolution melting curves (HRM) to fingerprint nucleic acid sequences for rapid identification. This work as well as their previous work on universal digital HRM was featured today in an article by GenomeWeb: http://www.genomeweb.com/pcrsample-prep/new-melt-curve-machine-learning-method-enables-large-scale-genotyping-sequence-v
